After losing a significant amount of his sight at 16, Rory had to rethink the way he learnt, worked and imagined his future. However, his story is not about what was lost, instead it reinforces the power of resilience, independence and accessible technology paired with good people.
“Hope is powerful, but hope is not passive.”
Rory chose to adapt, learn and move forward. With the right tools, he successfully completed his A-levels, achieving 3 A* Grades and is currently studying Business Studies at Ulster University, Belfast.
